NorCal poetry legend Frank Andrick is the star of a new web series by dudebuddies Geoffrey C Knecht and Sam Eliot. 

Each episode features an ingeniously wild story told by Frank with animations by Geoffrey. Given Frank's long history as a drug user, champion music groupie, San Francisco radio host, and underground poet, he's perpetually bursting at the seams with fascinating stories and psychedelic bits of wisdom. Who else has taken LSD with a leopard and lived to tell about it?

Listening to Frank's stories is definitely a "truth is stranger than fiction" experience.

"Apocryphal Pataphysics" may very well be the new bible on pataphysics. While all other texts on this absurdly nonsensical topic dwell uncomfortably in a realm of quasi-academia, "Apocryphal Pataphysics" approaches its subject with modern language and with a healthy dose of fun and irreverence.

The short book (14 pages) is published as part of a new series by the folks at Jokes Review. It's author, dudebuddy Peter Clarke, has studied the works of Alfred Jarry for a number of years and often employs pataphysical elements in his fiction writing. But he admits to having no real qualifications for writing a book of this sort. Arguably, no one does.

Jokes Review launched in March 2016 and is currently accepting submissions. The new literary journal was founded by Dudebuddy Peter Christ. Editors include journalist Matt Kramer and writer Mark Dwyer. 

Based in Northern California, the lit journal accepts edgy and humorous works of flash fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry. Each issue will also highlight a featured artist. 

"I want the journal to be open to non-polished, rant-like prose," says editor Peter Christ, adding, "with a healthy mix of highbrow and lowbrow."
